Hello!

My name is Miranda. I am from Nashville, Tennessee and am currently a junior in college at UTC and majoring in Biology & Environmental Science and minoring in Chemistry. I have a dog, 2 roommates and a little sister. I enjoy going to concerts and traveling the world. My goal is to visit all 50 states in my lifetime. My hobbies include photography as well as cooking.

This blog was created for my Ecology Lab class to present the ecological data that we learn from class each week. Each blog is a lab report over various ecological scenarios and research. Ecology doesn’t have to be complicated.

Science is important and the branch of ecology studies organisms and their relationships with the surrounding world. Ecology is important because it can help us understand how one small organism or process can have monumental effects on a much larger scale.This blog is meant to make science research easily accessible to the public as well as make one gain a greater understanding and compassion for ecology and science as a whole. I hope for this blog to have work that contributes to the field of ecology by having a more personal and fun platform that is unlike other science blogs available.
